About
House of Ermine is the brain child of Mercedes Desio, an alumnus of New York School of Interior Design with several years of experience in the field. After graduating from NYSID and doing a couple of internships with some well-known Manhattan designers, Mercedes co-founded Etos/Villalobos Desio. As a partner there, she worked on several projects all over the city, and the company was featured in prominent magazines such as Elle Décor and Domino. Due to some personal considerations she had to take a sabbatical from her passion, however she took the time off to conjure a new way to channel her design experience and knowledge.
The firm is the result of careful consideration on how the interior decoration field has evolved, as clients are savvier as well as more vocal and hands on. Mercedes’ goal is to cater to the young urban professional who has easy access to design resources but might not have the time to put together his/her design dreams. Clarity is key in the relationships she wants to build as well as transparency.
We look forward to hearing from you!
